Things Are Getting Better in the Marietta Real Estate Market!

Things Are Getting Better!

Concerning the real estate market in Kennesaw, Marietta and Acworth, I feel like Kevin Costner’s character in the movie, “THE POSTMAN.” He was heard to say, “Things are getting better. Things are getting better every day.”  And that is what happened in the movie and is happening here in Georgia!

One thing I have learned is it is just as easy to believe for the good as it is to believe for the bad. So, that is exactly what we need to do—believe for the good. And don’t be surprised when that is exactly what comes your way because things are getting better.

Buyers are still in the market. Sellers are still selling, though fewer. But one thing that I notice is if your house is priced competitively and you have done some updates and clean ups…your house will sell. Buyers want a good deal but they still will pay a higher price for perceived value and it’s pretty easy to see value that doesn’t need a bunch of work and still is affordable.

So with that said, you Sellers who are out there—get your house on the market! My TEAM and I are still selling and we need listings (because we have sold most of ours!) It is time to move up; or down for that matter. There are exchanges to be had. Did you know it is possible to trade your home with someone else? I have been in business long enough to know how to do them. :)

We all eventually come to a place in our thinking where we understand that this current market is the new reality and it is time to get on with our lives. We stop worrying about it because it seems to stabilize somewhat from the recent ups and downs.

From a very real perspective you are not losing money when you buy another house; the other person you buy from is in the same boat as you, so you are actually trading dollars and perhaps getting a nice move up (or down), and as the market continues to pick up everybody wins.
