Consider These Things When Thinking of Selling Your Home - In Any Market and Especially Now!

I know there must be hundreds of articles on the market today about selling your home. One of the most important things to remember is that, as a seller, (and believe me, I am no different) we must look at our home without emotion and see what a potential buyer would see. For example, the other day I looked at the wallpaper and border in our Jack and Jill bathroom and thought, that’s not bad—it still looks good. Then a few days later I saw the same paper in a house I was showing and realized just how dated it was; in fact, I thought it looked awful. That just goes to show you we can become so emotionally attached to our home and the decorating we have done that we can’t see the forest for the trees.
What I am saying is this: If we believe that our house is okay like it is because we love it we may lose out on a great sale at top dollar because we haven’t updated with a little paint or removal of wallpaper or maybe some new tile, etc. We need to go ahead, go the extra mile, and update!
We have been very fortunate to have home owners that have taken our advice. They have either spent a little money or done some things on their own, then priced their home for the market and have sold in just a short time…
I personally help my clients by coming over and looking at their home before putting it on the market. This helps them understand the market and what can be done to get the house ready. I will help you select colors, tile, countertops, etc., and help arrange for contractors if needed, (wood rot is big here in GA) by meeting them, getting prices, and also staging your home. Just a few things can either add value or make your home sell. And that’s the goal—to sell your house.
Remember, when you are selling your home you want to hire a professional. Someone who knows the market and has years of experience. Please take advantage of my expertise. All of the things I’ve written about above are the things we do for our clients!
