My 55th Birthday

I recently had a birthday and had such a wonderful time that I thought I would blog about it and since you all are dying to know what kind of cake I had, I thought I would share this with you.
We went to the Marietta Diner for our dessert which is supposed to be a famous place of old, in Marietta. It is located near Sam’s and the Big Chicken on 41. We didn't eat it there, since we had just finished a delicious dinner of Veal Gorgonzola at Vincent’s on Barrett Parkway, (there’s a plug for you Paul!) so we just got the cake to go and went home to eat it.
It was a little after nine when we got home so I missed Skype-ing (that was such a bummer) with my grandbabies. But that’s another story.

Jenny (not her real name) called me off my website. This call was my first contact with her and she told me she loved our website, was sure I was the person to help her and that she was now ready to go out and see some homes she had already seen online. She told me she had been doing a lot of research and had found a couple of homes in the $500,000 price point that she was completely in love with—she was sure that one of them was “her new home.”
We talked some more and I asked her if she had her Lender Letter. She basically said, “What’s that?” Uh oh…But, you never know; this might turn out okay.
I explained to her the most important thing to do to begin with is to be prequalified for your loan with a lender. It only takes about 5 minutes on the phone.…
Curb appeal—Value that brings home the bucks

One of the best ways to get someone to look at your home is curb appeal. I have taken many buyers out to view Marietta homes and had them refuse to even look at the house because they did not like what they saw from the street. Needless to say this goes for Kennesaw homes and other cities we serve too.
You want to be sure to have your lawn cut, edged and your flower beds weeded. Fresh pine straw is always great. If you have trees that have created bare spots just put pine straw around the tree and turn that bare spot into an island. Also, if you have small areas were there is low drainage (a wet spot) you can always plant bushes and then pine straw it.
